The two Wales internationals are set to face off at the Liberty Stadium with bragging rights at stake between the Welsh regions as they look to pick up a win after testing starts to the season. Walker has scored three tries in his last three appearances for the Ospreys, while Cuthbert has also been in positive form in recent weeks.
It sets up an intriguing battle between two of the best finishers in the Welsh game, and Rees admits it will make for a compelling match-up.
“Eli has been performing well and we know he will be up against a class performer in Alex Cuthbert,” said Rees.
“On his day Alex runs phase play as aggressively as anyone and they use him in a strong manger. For Eli it has just been about getting a run of games. You have seen he enjoys the European cauldron and he has backed himself in previous campaigns where he has been a try scorer in high-profile games.
“It is just about doing it consistently. We all know the spark is there and it should be a good battle.”
