In what was a tight match played in terrible conditions Swalec Division 3 West Central A side scored tries through Jamie Williams, and Lee Roderick, with fly half Darren Lewis adding a conversion and a penalty. Caerphilly’s tries came from Ryan Jones, and Marc Davies.

Cowbridge defeated Milford Haven 15-10 in a hard fought affair. The home side’s tries came lock Lewis Hopkin who powered over from short range, and winger Duncan Evans who crossed in the corner after an impressive backs move. Outside half Ben Wright joined in on the scoring with a penalty and a conversion. The visitors put up a valiant effort with their tries coming from David Sweeney and John Coe.

Hartridge who sit at the top of Swalec Division Three East B continued their impressive recent form by thumping Trinant 22-0. In what was a dominant performance from start to finish, the home side outscored their visitors by three tries to nil.

The Hartridge tries came through wingers Dex Lewis, and Dale Leaith, whilst hooker Delme Fisher crashed over from short range. Outside half Josh Holmes kicked two conversions. By far the score of the match came when Hartridge launched a counter attack from inside their own 22, with Lewis scoring after some outstanding interplay between backs and forwards.

Colwyn Bay’s tie with Pembroke Dock Quins was called off due to a waterlogged pitch – the reason why a number of matches in the Swalec Plate failed to start. Among the games that did take place, Rhydyfelin defeated Blaenavon 17-3.

In appalling conditions, Kieron Phillips, wing Mark Taylor and centre Fforest Quirk scored the home side’s tries and outside half Kevin Briggs was successful with one conversion.
