The weather got the better of the two teams when they were due to meet at Rhiwbina, who were beaten finalists in 2014, and the Squirrels received a walk-over in round two when Dolgellau pulled out.

The fifth round draw also includes two of last year’s semi-finalists in Penallta and Skewen. Penallta, who beat Seven Sisters 49-9 in the third round last weekend, have to travel to Rhydyfelin, who were runners-up in 2013.

Meanwhile, Skewen will have to account for north Walians Bala if they are to secure a home draw against Division 1 East club Risca. Bala comfortably beat Abertillery BG 33-0 last weekend, while Risca beat Llandudno 13-7.

In the rescheduled second round matches last weekend, Treorchy edged out Heol y Cyw 17-14 in a thrilling contest. Chris Howell’s try for Heol y Cyw levelled the game with two minutes to go, but Celyn Ashton’s last minute penalty sealed the win for Treorchy, who now travel to Dunvant on 6 February to see who will host Ammanford in round four.

Ammanford came out on top of a tight contest against Felinoel. Trailing by four points with a minute to go, Ammanford raced the length of the field as Tom Rees set up prop Lewys Jonathan to secure a last gasp, 19-18 victory.

Whitland, who beat Bonymen 19-12, will host the 2014 SSE Swalec Bowl champions Clwb Rygbi Cymry Caerdydd, who beat Aberystwyth 6-5 in the third round, while Glamorgan Wanderers hopes of reaching the Principality Stadium are still alive thanks to a 31-6 win at Kidwelly that saw the referee issue no fewer than eight cards.

Kidwelly lost three players to the sin bin and had two players sent off, while the Wanderers also saw three players go to the bin as they ran in three tries in the first half and two more in the second to set-up a third round clash at home with Trebanos. The winners of that game will travel to Bedlinog in round four.

The Division 1 East leaders, Ynysybwl, will host Rumney, while Llangennech will have home advantage against the winners of the third round fixture between Pencoed and Cwmllynfell.
