Premiership games called off

Two games in the Principality Premiership have been called off due to the adverse weather conditons.

The Pontypridd vs Newport Premiership match due to be played at Sardis Road has been called off.

Ground staff were out since first light working on the Sardis Road pitch attempting to drain standing water from the surface. Those efforts were in vain as the rainfall continued and a 10:30am inspection confirmed that the pitch was unplayable.

The Cross Keys vs Bedwas clash has also been posptponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

All rugby fans are urged to log on to their local rugby club website to check whether games are on or off due to the weather conditions.
