It has been 8 years since all three travelling sides from Scotland, Italy and France – who visit biennially in the competition, on rotation with Ireland and England – brought the full set of capacity crowds to Wales’ national ground.
Gatland’s side play at the newly named Principality Stadium for the first time on Saturday 13th February, in the Championship second round match against Scotland, and the sold-out signs for that game went up long before Christmas (October).
Wales then remain in Cardiff to face France a fortnight later and the closing round of the tournament also sees them take on Italy at Principality Stadium on Saturday 19th March – with ticket sales both games already surpassing figures from 2014.
Today, after the French and Italian rugby unions confirmed their own allocations, the final batches of tickets for both matches were released on public sale and less than 1,200 remain for the visit of Les Bleus and 3,000 for the Championship climax against the Azzurri.
The remaining tickets, which are predicted to sell-out in a matter of weeks, are priced at £80 for France and £60 for Italy – available now by contacting your local rugby club in person, online at wru.wales/tickets, by calling the WRU Ticketline on 0844 847 1881 or at the WRU ticket office (booking fees may apply).
