Pwllheli edged Conwy 18-13 in a tight affair two weeks ago but Conwy’s final fixture against Bethesda on the 11th May will make or break their season. Meanwhile Pwllheli will play away from home in their final two games against Bala on the 7th May and Llandudno on the 14th.
Skewen made up for the bitter disappointment last weekend of losing out on a trip to the Principality Stadium with their SSE Swalec Plate semi-final defeat to Penallta by clinching the Division 1 West Central title
Their 39-10 bonus-point triumph at Maesteg Quins pushed them 11 points clear of Ammanford with two games left to play and earned them a place in the SSE Swalec Championship next season. They scored five tries, two from scrum half James Ball, and Jordan Adderley’s try just before the beak clinched the bonus-point and the title.
Glamorgan Wanderers are now only one win away from clinching the Division 1 East Central title after downing their nearest rivals, Ystrad Rhonnda, 37-24. The victory moved the Wanderers 16 points clear at the top with three games to go and a win at Heol y Cyw on Saturday will earn them promotion to the Championship.
In the race for promotion from Division 1 East, Rhydyfelin heaped the pressure on Bedlinog and Penallta at the top with a 40-10 bonus-point thumping of Risca. Lewis Smith scored the fourth try as well as adding a further 10 from the boot for match tally of 15 points.
Kidwelly narrowly beat Crymych 24-21 to remain in second place of Division 1 West and face a crunch fixture against Felinfoel next week.
Further down the National League structure, Birchgrove ensured they won the Division 3 West Central B crown with a 87-14 home win over Alltwen and Crynant were presented with the Division 3 Central West C title despite losing 23-15 at home to third placed Baglan.
In Division West Central A, Resolven all but secured the title with a 55-10 home win over Pyle. They face lowly Pontycymmer at home on 14 May in their final fixture, when a win will earn confirm them as champions.
Aberdare, who have been wearing #staystrongforows across their jerseys all season, wee 61-17 winners at Llandaff North in a game that earned them the Division 3 Est Central A title. Porth Quins, who face Bedlinog in the Glamorgan Silver Ball Final, have already tied up the Division 2 East Central title.
