The 23-year-old Penclawdd playmaker has been training at The Gnoll all summer having made one appearance for the club last season. He picked up the Man of the Match award in the win over Maesteg over the Christmas period and also featured three times in Llanelli colours.
“Dan has impressed everyone with his attitude in training and will cover Luke Price’s anticipated absence on Ospreys duty. He is a versatile operator and can play scrum-half too while his goal-kicking is an extra string to his bow,”said Neath team manager Martyn Morris.
Neath head to Moseley this weekend for their latest warm-up fixture for the new campaign. They then had to Narberth on 27 August before taking part in the Foster’s National Sevens at the BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park on 28 August.
Supporters of the club will then get their chance to quiz the coaches, managers and players at a special evening at The Gnoll clubhouse on Tuesday, 30 August (from 8.30pm). Before the question-and-answer session fans will be able to watch the team in action on the pitch in one of their last pre-season training sessions.
