The teams kicked-off level on points but there was a world of difference on the day as the Otters turned on the style.
Liam Hutchings scored off a wonderful reverse pass by Jack Price before Jordan Skidmore replied for Tata. Hutchings then crossed for a second before Nick Gale showed real ace to win the race to his own kick and flanker James Bain finished good work by Rhys Lane to wrap up a bonus-point by half-time.
The Otters then compounded an emphatic performance with 22 unanswered points in the second half as Ollie Reyland scored twice before Lane completed the rout.
The bonus-point victory put them five points clear of Tata in second place but still some way behind runaway leaders Pontypool who brushed past Glamorgan Wanderers to maintain their unbeaten run.
Leighton Jones’ side ran out 47-11 victors at the Memorial Ground thanks to tries from Tom Hancock, Ben Sparks, Rhodri Usher, Josh Hurley and two penalty tries made it 11 wins in a row for the visitors in an ill-tempered match which saw yellow cards on both sides.
Fourth-placed Beddau consigned strugglers Dunvant to a third consecutive defeat as they ran out 33-16 winners at Castellau Road. Scores from Rob Jones, Joe Casella, Tyler Wells, Callum Wheeler and a penalty try secured the bonus point victory, with Hywel Chatham adding four conversions.
Nine points from the boot of James Davies and a try from Sam Crowley gave Dunvant a glimmer of hope before the hosts pulled away in the final quarter to deny the visitors a losing bonus point.
Only a point separated Newcastle Emlyn and Skewen in the league table and there was even less between the sides at Dol Wiber where they ground out a frustrating 3-3 draw. Anthony Buselli kicked the visitors ahead before the break after a dominant display. Narberth wing Dan Davies was off-target but full-back Shaun Leonard levelled before missing a late chance to snatch the win.
Elsewhere Bedlinog swept aside Cardiff Met 36-12 at Cyncoed Campus while bottom-placed Newbridge’s clash with Glynneath was postponed following a pitch inspection at the Welfare Ground.
