Last Sunday the Ospreys secured a 22-6 victory at Parc Eirias against RGC and followed that up with a 29-18 success against the Blues at Llandarcy on Wednesday evening.
The early stages were evenly contested with Ospreys fly half Cai Evans and Blues counterpart Ben Thomas sharing penalties before winger Ioan Davies scored a try for the visitors. The home side hit back through impressive centre Ben Cambriani to level the score 8-8 after 27mins.
But two converted tries scored by No8 Will Baraclough and Callum Carson gave the Ospreys a handy 22-8 lead at the break.
Thomas pegged back three points with a penalty but Baraclough put the game beyond the Blues reach when he pounced to score his second try of the game, which was converted by Evans.
The Blues did however have the final say when Dan Schwarts scored a late try, converted by Rhys Davies.
In the other game played on Wednesday evening, the Scarlets came away with a hard earned 28-22 victory against Newport Gwent Dragons at Ystrad Mynach.
Dragons No8 Taine Basham opened the scoring but two penalties by centre Scott Lloyd and a try by hooker Ben Edwards, converted by Lloyd, put the Scarlets 13-5 in front at the break.
The Dragons raised their game in the second half but converted tries by Joe Roberts and Osian Edwards put the visitors in the ascendancy before the Dragons hit back with tries by Basham, James McCarthy and captain Lennon Greggains but Lloyd’s boot ensured the Scarlets withstood the fightback with a late penalty to secure the victory.
The next game in the championship will be held at Cardiff Arms Park on Tuesday when the Blues host the Scarlets (KO 7.30pm)
