Swansea will be hoping Wales Under 20 international Phil Jones can guide them to a much needed win over Bridgend Ravens at the Bridgend Ford Brewery Field to keep them in the hunt for a play-off place in Tier 2 of the Principality Premiership.

Jones starts at outside half for the All Whites having shown during the recent Under 20 Six Nations what a quality playmaker he can be. He partners Matt Aubrey at half-back for the visitors in a game in which the winner will move ahead of the losers in the table.

Both sides have one win to their name so far since the split and both teams are level on six points with four games left to play. Swansea beat Bridgend 23-20 at Ste Helen’s when they met in December in the first-half of the Premiership campaign.

Swansea’s last two matches have ended in defeat – 26-0 at home to Cross Keys and a 22-7defeat in a friendly match with the British Army – and their one win to date in Tier 2 came at the Arms Park, where they recovered from being 24 points down to beat Cardiff 34-33.

Bridgend were beaten heavily at home in their last game, the Foster’s Challenge Cup semi-final against Bedwas, and are also seeking a second win in Tier 2. Wales Under 20 lock Jack Pope returns to the pack and the home side feature German international Jamie Murphy at centre.
