With a perfect ‘five out of five’ record since the Premiership split in two at the start of the year the Black & Ambers have led the way and currently lead Tier 2 by five points and will clinch a home semi-final if they can beat third placed Llanelli.
Wales Under 18 caps Len Greggains and Tom Hoppe are included among the Newport replacements and there are six changes from the side that won at Bargoed in their last outing.
A mere two points cover the four teams behind Newport and the battle for the play-off places is set to go down to the wire. Second placed Cross Keys host bottom of the table Cardiff, while fourth placed Neath face a crucial trip to St Helen’s to face arch-rivals Swansea.
