The strength of the squad that will prepare to play Canada, Wales and the USA next month is shown by the fact there are 12 players attached to TOP 14 clubs, one at an English Premiership side and another at a Championships club.
Two players have passed the 100 cap mark – full back Merab Kvirikashvili and centre Davit Katcharava – and a third will be hoping to reach his century next month, lock Giorgi Chkhaidze. After the three day camp in France, Haig will announced his 31-strong party for the three tests, including the trip to the Principality Stadium for a first internationals against Wales in the second game in the 2017 Under Armour Series on Saturday, 18 November.
Included in the training squad are two players who were in the Georgian Under 20 squad that faced Wales at the Junior World Championships in Tbilisi this summer – centre Giorgi Kveseladze and full back Mirian Modebadze.
