Currently top of their table in BUCS South A table with nine wins out of 10 to date this season, they will be hoping to stay on course for the final at Twickenham on 11 April. In addition, they are only three wins away from reaching the Principality Stadium and the WRU National Bowl final.
Having beaten Cardiff Medicals 19-7, Pontyclun 22-20, Rhyl 33-7 and Shotton Steel 36-13 in the earlier rounds, their travel away for the first time in Round 5 for a stern test at Swansea Uplands. The home side are currently second in Division 3A West Central and have only been beaten once at home this season.
Penallta have an interest in both Round 5 of the Bowl and Round 4 of the WRU National Plate. Their 2nd XV head to Penygraig in the Bowl, while the senior side, the reigning Plate champions, travel to Cwmgors.
Last season’s Plate runners-up, Ystalyfera, will have home advantage over Maesteg as they seek to return to the home of Welsh rugby in May. It will be a busy cup weekend for Maesteg teams with the Quins hosting Treorchy and Celtic entertaining Nelson.
Division 1 North clubs Nant Conwy and Ruthin head south to face Blaenavon and Ystrad Rhondda in the Plate, while fellow Gogs Wrexham and COBRA have home advantage over Deri and Pembroke in the Bowl.
