Bevington has won 13 caps and was a member of the 2011 World Cup squad, while he made over 100 appearances for the Ospreys. The 29-year-old has also represented his country at under 16s, 18s, 19s and 20s level, playing in 29 out of 32 possible age grade internationals before his senior international debut against the Barbarians in 2011.

His last Wales outing was four years ago against Italy in the 2014 Six Nations.
“Ryan has been a consistent performer during his career both during his time with the Ospreys and with Bristol, so we’re looking forward to having him join the Dragons,” said Jackman.

“His experience on both sides of the bridge, plus with Wales is a valuable asset for any team and he’ll add more quality for us at loosehead. He’s overcome his knee injuries and we think we’re signing him at the right time as front row players reach their prime in their thirties.”

Bevington is one of a number of new faces expected at Rodney Parade next season with his Bristol team mates Rhodri Williams and Jordan Williams also joining along with British & Irish Lions stars Ross Moriarty and Richard Hibbard from Gloucester.
“It’s the perfect time for me to come back to Wales having sampled a year of both the Aviva Premiership and Championship rugby,” said Bevington.

“I’m looking forward to being part of a different culture with a new set of faces. Rhodri and Jordan have already signed from Bristol and I know Richard Hibbard well too, they are all quality players, so with the signings Bernard has made for next season it’ll be a positive environment.

“The Dragons are going in a new direction to become a better team and organisation. Playing for Wales should be every players ambition and I’m no different but getting a place in the Dragons team and playing well for them is what I’ll be focused on.

“Hopefully I can add to the team and help the younger players push on and develop a few new things too, you are never too old to learn.”
