Shingler forms part of an unchanged Welsh side for what will be his first game at the home of English rugby.
Warren Gatland’s young Welsh squad made a striking statement last Saturday, leaving Principality Stadium with a convincing 34-7 win over Scotland.
On the back of that success, Gatland has stuck with an unchanged side for his team’s second game of the tournament.
Shingler, who was named man of the match against Scotland after a fine individual display, said: “We performed well last weekend so everyone deserves their spot again with the massive challenge coming up on Saturday.
“Warren seems to be picking boys that he sees are playing well and have got confidence and at the moment he’s going with that theory.
“It’s great to have opportunities for young men coming in and if they are performing, they get to keep the shirt.”
The Welsh back-row is ready for a titanic duel at Twickenham against an English side who have won both the last two Six Nations Championships.
“The game on Saturday is going to be a lot more physical, so that’s what I’m preparing for,” Shingler said.
“England are pretty strong everywhere so it’s going to be a competitive game for sure.
“This is pretty special you know; it’s Wales and England at Twickenham. It’s going to be a great day.”
Wales are aiming to replicate their 2012 and 2015 wins at Twickenham that saw them shock their English opposition.
Despite the pressure, Shingler can’t wait to participate in the biggest game of his career.
“It’s probably going to be the biggest challenge for me personally for a while so I’m looking forward to that,” he said.
“I’ve never been to Twickenham, but I’ve obviously watched games there on the TV for many years, so it’s quite surreal to be there for such a big game.”
