The 28-year-old started the 38-14 victory over Italy in the unusual position of blindside flanker.
Wales head coach Warren Gatland has a wealth of loose forward options to choose from currently.
Flankers Aaron Shingler and Josh Navidi have had strong tournaments to date, while Tipuric and James Davies begun the game with Italy.
Ellis Jenkins is also available for selection while at No 8, Warren Gatland has both Taulupe Faletau and Ross Moriarty at his disposal.
Tipuric said: “We know how good James is and he showed it again against Italy.
“There are so many good sevens out there and even if you took us two out of it, you’d have another three or four that could step into the jersey easily.
“I think it’s always been hotly contested since I first came in with Martyn (Williams), Sam (Warburton) and myself in and around the squad. There is so much competition in Wales for that seven jersey.
“It keeps getting stronger and stronger and that can only be good for the game in Wales. We are very lucky with the back-row.”
Tipuric scored the last of Wales’ five tries against Italy with a low, sliding finish.
The bonus-point success moved Gatland’s side up to second in the tournament table behind Ireland who have already been crowned tournament winners.
Next up for Wales is a meeting with France at Principality Stadium on Saturday.
“I played six a bit when I was playing with Wales Under-20’s. It’s a similar role as I am on the flank,” Tipuric said.
“You know what you are going to get with France. They’ve got big strong men who try and get over the gain line.
“If we can stop their go forward it will make our life a lot easier.”
Tipuric added: “There are some quality teams in this Six Nations so to finish second would be a good thing for us.
“When France gel and play well they are a very difficult side to beat and they are getting better with every game.
“France have a lot of big men in the pack and they have big centres as well. You’ve got to stop them from going forward.
“They are going very well and it’s going to be a tough game, but we’ve just got to win the match. Our goal before these last two games was to win both of them.
“If we can do it and end up in second place, that will obviously be a good thing for us.”
