The No 8 has started all three games on Wales’ summer tour, impressing against both South Africa in Washington and in the first Test with Argentina in San Juan.
Moriarty made a mammoth 26 tackles in that game and is relishing the chance to take on the South Americans once again at the Estadio Brigadier Lopez.
“I’ve been pleased with the last two matches, especially given the lack of game time I’ve had this season,” said Moriarty, who will join the Dragons for next season.
“To be given the opportunity in the last two games has been great and I’ve made the most of them.
“I’ve been involved in the 80 minutes for each game which I wasn’t really expecting, but I’ve been pleased with how it’s gone.
“The training plan I had put in place before this tour has helped me a lot. I’m really pleased with where I am.”
Moriarty is one of a wealth of back-row options for Wales head coach Warren Gatland to consider both right now and for next season.
He added: “At the moment there are a lot of back-rowers in very good form. Sadly for Josh Navidi and Aaron Shingler they’ve got injuries, but they will be coming back wanting to get their spot again.
“There will be lots of competition next season, but it is only going to make you want to train harder so I’m looking forward to it. I’m not going to sit back and let someone else take my spot easily.”
Moriarty added: “It’s not hard to see the Argentina game plan. Their forwards are big and we’re expecting the same again at the weekend.
“I’m still feeling the first Test. They run hard in all fairness to them. I was just happy to get in there, make the tackles I did, and even though it hurts, it’s so worth it.
“We’re expecting a big response from them this weekend. It’s never going to be easy coming to a country and playing them in their own back yard. We expect to see them improve.”
