Wales’ four regions now know who they’ll face in the campaign to come with exact dates and kick-off times confirmed for the first 17 rounds of matches.
There will be no Boxing Day Welsh derbies this year.
Instead, the four regions will face each other on December 22 and December 29 and 30.
The second season of the PRO14 will begin with last season’s European Challenge Cup winners the Blues hosting Leinster at Cardiff Arms Park on August 31 at 7.35pm.
At the same time, the Ospreys will welcome Edinburgh to the Liberty Stadium.
On Saturday, September 1 the Scarlets and Dragons will start their domestic adventure with the men from Llanelli away to Ulster and the latter at home to Italian outfit Benetton.
Looking ahead to the Scarlets’ first game, Scarlets and Wales centre Jonathan Davies said: “Ulster is a difficult place to go, but we need to concentrate on the next five weeks or so.
“We need to make sure that when our international boys come in next week they get up to speed and we keep going in a positive direction from where we were at the end of last season.
“We need to go to that next level because as a team Leinster are setting the standard that we want to be up there with. That is the challenge we need.”
The Dragons, who hope to improve from last season and have recruited smartly this summer, will get used to the home comforts of Rodney Parade in the first month of the new campaign.
“Two home games to start and having three of the first four at home is brilliant for us as we want to get our season off to a cracking start,” said Dragons head coach Bernard Jackman.
“I’m really happy with how we’re going, although there’s a lot of work still to do. We’ve got three pre-season friendlies next month which will hopefully have us ready to fire from day one.
“We’re looking forward to getting started and we know how important it is to start well, but the fixture list makes it even more important we get points on the board over the course of September.
“We were very close with Zebre, Benetton and Southern Kings over the course of last season.”
The first Welsh derbies of the season will take on the opening weekend of October with Dragons facing the Blues and Ospreys travelling to the Scarlets.
The season will end with the Blues facing the Ospreys and the Dragons meeting the Scarlets on the weekend of April 26.
