Warren Gatland’s side have achieved 43-14 and 29-25 wins over Georgia and Australia respectively in the tournament to date to take control of Pool D.
Next up is a meeting with Fiji in Oita on Wednesday.
Experienced hooker Owens has told Wales not to take their opposition lightly.
“I’m pretty happy. We were spot on for the first 40 minutes against Australia. We got everything right,” said Owens, the Scarlets captain.
“In the second-half we defended more than we would have liked.
“That was down to Australia keeping hold of the ball and playing some very good attacking rugby which is credit to them. In years gone by we would have lost those sort of games.
“But we have found ways to win big matches and that’s what we did on Sunday. That was great.
“There were a couple of big moments towards the end of the game as well with Tomos Williams and Owen Watkin which was great. We dug in as a squad and got the win which is massive.
“It gives us plenty of confidence going forward. We are pretty happy, but we just need to keep that momentum going.
“It is great being two from two, but it doesn’t mean much if we are two from four by the end of the pool. We have got to go on and get a result on Wednesday against Fiji and then against Uruguay.
“There are two massive games to finish this pool off and we are just looking forward to that.”
After facing Fiji on Wednesday, Wales meet Uruguay on Sunday to complete the pool stages.
“There is still plenty of work to do. We would have liked to attack a little bit more in that second half against Australia, but we always get better the longer we are together,” Owens said.
“We are slowly building that momentum so there is a lot more to come which is a great position to be in having had a massive win against Australia. That starts on Wednesday night against Fiji which is going to be another huge challenge in itself.
“They have got a lot of x-factor players, but I am sure they will be looking at us as a threat as well. We have got massive respect for Fiji, but we have got a lot of quality in our side.
“We will be looking at ourselves and how we can improve to deliver a game plan to combat Fiji.”
