The supremely talented 18-year-old has spent the championship going back and forth between Wales and Bristol Bears. Lloyd, who can play at outside-half or in the back-three, is a former pupil of Ysgol Gyfun Glantaf in Cardiff but plies his trade in the Gallagher Premiership.
Such has been his impact over the border he has been starting ahead of senior internationals in Pat Lam’s team. And he is chomping at the bit to get stuck in against Scotland in Colwyn Bay.
He said: “It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster. I wasn’t involved during the first week as I was with Bristol.
“I then came into camp for the Ireland week so I’ve been back and forth between Bristol and Wales. It’s been a strange experience but I’ve really enjoyed it.
“I’m ready to give my all for the team this weekend. The main thing was I want to be involved with Wales Under 20s.
“I’m just focussing on going out there and putting as good a performance in as I can to help the team.”
Wales bounced back from opening defeats to Italy and Ireland with two stunning victories against France and England respectively. They face a dangerous Scotland outfit this weekend and Lloyd is adamant Wales won’t underestimate the Scots.
He said: “It’s going to be a tough game against Scotland. They are a very good side with a lot of physicality and some very good backs.
“We will have to be at our best but we want to build on our win against England.”
