Wayne Pivac’s side will travel to Dublin for their first game of the new November competition following a 14-10 defeat by Scotland.
Loosehead prop Carre scored his first Test try against the Scots at Parc y Scarlets in Llanelli and is now looking forward to what is to come in the next month.
“It was obviously a disappointing performance. We wanted to put it right after the performance in France,” said the Cardiff Blues forward on the Scotland game.
“Unfortunately, it didn’t go to plan.
“Now we’ve got the Autumn Nations Cup coming up in two weeks. All our focus now goes towards that.
“I think every youngster dreams of running in a try for Wales from 50 yards, but unfortunately for me mine was a standard prop’s try with a pick and go.
“I’ll take it and it’s something I’m really proud of.”

Looking ahead to Ireland at the Aviva Stadium, Carre, 22, added: “Ireland are obviously a really good team but we’ve got two weeks to work on what we need to work on.
“Hopefully we will go into that game flying.
“I’ve got to focus on my scrummaging work and we’ll work together as a pack to do that.
