Hill partners captain Alun Wyn Jones in the second row against the Azzurri after coming off the bench to score a crucial try in the 40-24 win over England in round three.
The lock’s score against England sealed Wales a second straight bonus-point win and also a Triple Crown.
Now the next challenge is Italy at the Stadio Olimpico this weekend.
“I had a role off the bench against England and managed to come with a bit of impact. All the boys who came on did a great job to finish the game off,” said Cardiff Blues forward Hill.
“As a pack we’ve been building nicely and Adam Beard has done a great job leading the line-out and directing the boys.
“It will be nice for me to get a start on the weekend and hopefully I can put my best foot forward as well.
“I don’t think we’re relaxed at all. We had a good week last week in the fallow week. We always have an overload week and prep well and we know we are stepping up for a Test week.
“It’s a massive week for us. We know Italy are a much-improved team and they like to play a nice expansive style of rugby at the minute so we know we have got a big challenge at the weekend.
“Hopefully we can go out there and do the job.
“Italy in Rome are always dangerous. We know the threat that is coming. We will be doing our homework, working hard here, and getting ourselves as best prepared as possible.”
