The 20-year-old has been in fine form for the Dragons this season, and was rewarded with his first call-up to the Wales squad for tests against Canada, and Argentina (twice). And Carter, who has never played senior rugby in front of a crowd, is excited at what lies ahead over the next three weeks with 8,200 supporters allowed to attend the games.
“It would be amazing to play in front of fans,” he added. “I was lucky enough to play in the Principality Stadium for the Dragons.
“We had three games there so that was really exciting and I was just in awe of the stadium let alone if there were fans in there. Also I am looking forward, should I get the chance, to my family being there to watch because they rarely miss a game.
“I don’t think my dad ever missed a game but he hasn’t been able to see me play for the Dragons yet so that would be really nice.” Carter has revealed how much he has already learn from Wales forwards coach Jonathan Humphreys.
And he hopes to improve his game even further over the coming weeks, “I’ve had quite a lot of talks with Jon Humphreys the forwards coach who has been really good.
“We’ve spoken about a lot of little things to do with the lineout which are really detailed and that was helpful. He’s already picked up on a lot of things that I could be improving on which is great for me.
“I want to soak up as much as I can in this camp and learn as much as I can so that I can take it back to the Dragons.”
