Capped 32 times by Wales, the lock re-joined Cardiff Blues from Dragons for the 2020-21 season. He left Cardiff in July 2021 after the lock informed the region he wanted to pursue an opportunity overseas.
“I’m looking forward in joining Yokohama Canon Eagles,” said Hill. “They are a team that has great culture and great history. It’s 
definitely going to be a challenge but I look forward to this journey not on my own but with the Canon family and fans.
“Canon has been a team on the rise and a team that is always striving to be the best. Which is why I choose to be a part of this great organization.
“I am very excited and grateful for the opportunity to be a part of Yokohama Canon Eagles. 
It has always been a dream to play in Japan and even more so after having a little taste of the Japanese culture during the World Cup in 2019.
“I’m really looking forward to getting stuck in with my new team mates and coaches and hopefully adding as much value as I can to this great club.”
