Paul Fisher’s side fell to a 21-12 defeat to Cardiff in atrocious conditions in the Welsh capital in their first game in this season’s tournament and have drafted in wing Matthew Williams, centre Wil Thomas, second row Will Evans and No 8 Jac Delaney for their latest game against last season’s champions.Â
The Scarlets are based on the Coleg Sir Gar team that reached the final of the WRU National Schools & Colleges League final to Cardiff & Vale College. There are nine players from Sir Gar in the starting line-up, with highly rated hooker Harry Thomas leading the Scarlets.Â
The Dragons kicked off their campaign with a 26-5 home defeat against the Ospreys, but then recovered to come out on top in a 72-point thriller in north Wales against RGC, finally coming out on top 43-29. Centre Tye Davies, one of four players from Hartpury College, captains the Dragons.Â
Cardiff were led by another Hartpury product, Harry Beddall, in their win over the Scarlets. He formed a back row trio with Owen Conquer and Evan Rees.Â
The other game on Wednesday, 4 January, sees Ospreys, host RGC at the Brewery Field, Bridgend (2.30pm).Â
