“It’s been a privilege to put on the Welsh jersey and I have so many great memories.
“I’d like to thank all the players and coaches that l’ve been fortunate enough to work with over the years and the wonderful support I’ve received from the Welsh public.
“I’m looking forward to spending more time at home and putting all my energies into playing for my home region the Ospreys.”
Tipuric was the 1,087th Wales men’s international and made his debut against Argentina back in August 2011. His final appearance in the red jersey came against France in Wales’ final Guinness Six Nations match back in March.

“He doesn’t like a lot of fuss but I’d like to congratulate him on a great career. He has made an outstanding contribution to Welsh rugby and I hope everyone will join me in wishing Justin all the best for the future.”
Welsh Rugby Union interim CEO Nigel Walker added: “Justin Tipuric is one of the most professional and dynamic players we have seen in the modern era.
“He is a complete player and has always given his all for his country.
He has performed at the very highest level for a sustained period, done all that has been asked of him in a Wales jersey and been a joy to watch in the process.
“We wish him well in his continued career at club level and thank him sincerely for his service to the international game.”
