The 19-year-old tighthead became the first Welsh player to be nominated for the award in its four-year history. She is joined by two of England’s Grand Slammers, Marlie Packer and Hollie Aitchison, as well as French centre Gabrielle Vernier.
Saracens back row star Packer was also nominated in 2022, when French star Laure Sansus carried off the title. She and Aitchison helped England take the Grand Slam and have been named on the shortlist, based on fan votes that contributed to the Team of The Championship.
Tuipulotu dominated headlines from the outset, forming a cornerstone of a dominant front row, and going on to score four tries in the Championship. Wales climbed to their highest World Rugby ranking of sixth during the championship as they finished third for the second year in a row.
Here tries helped Ioan Cunningham’s side to win three Six Nations games in a season for the first time since 2009.
England captain Packer was a force of nature throughout the Championship, earning plaudits for her talismanic leadership that drove England to another Six Nations title. She sored seven tries and picked up seven crucial turnovers.
Aitchison swapped her centre position for the number ten jersey for this year’s Championship and looked immediately at home, conducting her side through five scintillating rounds, and delivering six try assists.
Vernier, who was a constant threat in defence as much as attack, claimed five tries in as many rounds as France finished second overall.Â

With voting now closed for the starting XV, it is now in the hands of fans to vote for their Player of The Championship.
Voting is open, across Women’s Six Nations social and digital channels, as of Wednesday 3 May, and closes at 17:00 (GMT) on Monday 8 May.
The TikTok Women’s Six Nations Team and Player of The Championship will be announced when all votes have been counted.
