Jenna De Vera’s side crossed for six tries and bounced back from their narrow defeat to USA earlier on the tour and produced an aggressive defensive performance their hosts had no answer to.
Wales were 19-5 ahead at half time and could even afford to lose a player to the sin-bin just before the break and were never really troubled by the Canada side playing in front of their home crowd.
This was Wales’ second victory over Canada at U20s level and they fully deserved the win and created and took the chances to score some impressive tries.
The Wales squad was struck with illness and forced into a late change with Molly Wakely being forced to withdraw and two tornadoes swept passed the ground just ahead of kick-off.
Wales made their own blistering start to the game with impressive full back Nel Metcalfe crossing for the visitors first try after two minutes to give the tourists a lead they would not lose.
Fly-half Carys Hughes added the conversion before Canada replied with wave after wave of attacks but Wales’ aggressive defence before Wales crossed for a second try.
Centre Ellie Tromans crashed over midway through the second half to extend Wales’ lead before the home side replied with a try of their own by full back Lucie Romeo.
Wales responded with a third try with prop Katie Carr crossing after a smart lineout move and Hughes added the conversion to give the visitors a 14-point lead.
Flanker Lucy Issac was then yellow carded and Wales were down to 14 but some resolute defence saw the visitors go in 19-5 ahead at half-time.
Wales stretched their lead when replacement scrum-half Sian Jones sniped on the blindside of a scrum to cross in the corner straight after the break.
Hooker Rosie Carr then took advantage of well-worked driving lineout to score Wales’ fifth try to make it 34-5 midway through the second half.
Replacement Kim Thurlow crossed for the visitors sixth and final try before Canada captain Sarah Grant scored a consolation try on the whistle but Wales were well worth the victory.
