The Men of Gwent travel west looking to build on their 20-19 victory over Ospreys the previous weekend. Heading back to familiar territory will be Jordan Williams, Corey Baldwin, Steff Hughes, Dane Blacker and Rhodri Williams.
Scarlets will be led by Wales and British & Irish Lions centre Jonathan Davies in what will be his 200th appearance for his home region. He is one of nine internationals in the home squad.
Another Wales centre, Cardiff Rugby’s Willis Halaholo, will be back in Blue & Black after recovering from injury. Although currently out of contract, he has completed his rehab with the club and now has the opportunity to return to action in another regional derby clash against Ospreys at Swansea.Com Stadium (7.00pm Friday, 6 October).
“Willis has done all of his rehab with us and has taken part in team training for the past couple of weeks. This is the next step in his recovery and we are happy to give him that opportunity,” said head coach Matt Sherratt.
“He has been a big part of this club and we are pleased to help him with game-time, while he is also helping us with a bit more depth.”
The Ospreys will have two former Cardiff men in their ranks – lock James Ratti and hooker Ethan Lewis. Justin Tipuric will lead the home side.
