Bradley succeeds Nick Garcia, the former City Football Group and Manchester City executive, in the role. Garcia left his post in December 2022 to go to work in Australian football.
After four years at Kingsholm in charge at Gallagher Premiership club Gloucester, Bradley will bring with him a wealth of rugby knowledge
“This is a club with a rich, successful history and a passionate fanbase. Ospreys is a club full of potential and talent, who are known for their innovation and for being disruptive, making this a very exciting role,” said Bradley.
“I’ve been very impressed with the plans the owners, Y11, have outlined to me. I look forward to meeting with fans and business partners in the coming weeks to share those plans and hear their thoughts.”
Bradley previously spent 30 years working in the automotive industry, first with Ford Motor Company and then as managing director of Mitsubishi Motors UK. It was during that time that Mitsubishi became the main sponsors at Gloucester, who he joined in 2018 before becoming chief executive the following year.
He guided the club through the COVID period and helped turn around their financial performance to profitability, as well as overseeing an increase in funding for the Gloucester-Hartpury women’s team – last season’s Premier 15s champions – before stepping down last year.
James Davies-Yandle, Ospreys and Y11 Sports & Media owner, said: “Lance Bradley steps into his role at a pivotal moment for Ospreys, and his appointment marks a strategic enhancement to the club’s competitiveness and overall standing in the rugby community.
“The Ospreys community can expect Bradley to bring fresh perspectives, strategic initiatives, and a commitment to creating a culture of sustained success.”
