Amber gets green light for Six Nations

Amber Stamp-Dunstan will be one of four officials set to make their Women’s Six Nations debuts as assistant referees in the rapidly approaching championship which kicks off next month.

The highly rated Welsh referee has been selected to be an assistant referee for New Zealand’s Maggie Cogger-Orr who will take charge of the clash at Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi in Parma when Italy host Scotland on Saturday 20 April.

A total of nine match officials representing eight nations will take charge of the 15 tests.

Kat Roche (USA) will referee the opening fixture between France and Ireland in Le Mans on 23 March.

Cogger-Orr will oversee the final match of the championship between France and England in Bordeaux on 27 April.

Cogger-Orr, Sara Cox (England), Hollie Davidson (Scotland), Aurélie Groizeleau (France), Clara Munarini (Italy) and Roche will each referee two matches.

Natarsha Ganley (New Zealand) will make her Women’s Six Nations debut with Ireland v Scotland at the Kingspan Stadium on 27 April.

Joy Neville (Ireland) will bow out of international rugby with France v Italy in Paris on 14 April her final test appointment.
