Wales U18 skipper Branwen Metcalfe led from the front as she scored two of her side’s magnificent seven tries in a 41-22 win over Italy at the Six Nations Women’s U18 Festival in Colwyn Bay.

There were also braces for wing Saran Jones and centre Hannah Lane, with outside half Hanna Marshall adding three conversions in tricky conditions.

The Italians, who took the lead with an early try at the posts from hooker Cheli Chiara, scored four tries in the end.
