Liza Burgess, the Wales U20s Head coach, said: “It is fantastic to have the U20s tournament now up and running and it promises to be an exciting challenge for the squad of players we have selected for the tournament.
“We are expecting to be tested across the Six Nations but having the opportunity to play international rugby at this level is only going to benefit all the players and coaches, and we are very much looking forward to it.
“Jenna De Vera and Jess Rogers have been named as co-captains and will bring some real experience and knowledge to the role, on and off the field, to lead what is an exciting young squad.
“We are delighted to have Welsh international Nel Metcalfe available for this tournament. She is still only 19 and the experience she will bring to the squad will be invaluable. This is an opportunity for her to get quality game-time at international level ahead of the senior national side’s campaign next season.”
