“We have selected a strong competitive 23 to take on the USA. It was not an easy selection to make as the full squad have applied themselves positively all week,” said Wales had coach, Siwan Lillicrsp.
“The USA are not an easy proposition – we played them in a shortened fixture on Tuesday and they most definitely demonstrated that they have some talented athletes, they are therefore not an opposition to be taken lightly.
“This is exactly the challenge we want as a nation; we want to test, challenge and develop the girls and playing against the USA will most definitely provide this.
We have seen an immense amount of growth over the past seven days in our girls and we just hope and want them to go out and express themselves with a performance tomorrow.
“We are not at all focused on the result, purely the performance.
“We are very excited to play at Cardiff Arms Park which has been the home of our women’s national team for some years now. It’s a brilliant stadium that holds a super atmosphere. We hope people come down tomorrow afternoon to get behind our nation’s promising talent.
“It has been a pleasure to host the USA, Scotland and the Netherlands over the past week, we have played and trained against each other providing a great cultural experience for all players but also the rugby growth has been enormous, and we hope to continue to build on these relationships with other nations and continue to grow opportunities for development moving forward.”
