The home side extended their lead when wing Hannah Walker stepped on the gas to finish off a well worked try. Lucy Macrae added the extras to make it 10-0
Edinburgh’s other wing Cieron Bell then added a third try just, which Macrae converted, to make it 17-0 lead at half-time.
After the break, Brython got on the scoreboard after impressive break by wing Eleanor Hing saw full back Lane cross in the corner to make the score 17-5.
Thunder’s defence then held firm with a series of impressive last-ditch tacles after a ferocious response by the home side.
