Fans will be invited to bring their voice and show why there is no better atmosphere to experience an  international rugby match than when Wales play at home; this includes upcoming sold-out Senior Men’s fixtures against England and Ireland in the 2025 Guinness Six Nations.

Ireland’s visit to Principality Stadium on 22nd February (KO 14:15) reached full capacity, and is officially confirmed as a sell-out, today.  The final-round encounter with England on 15th March (KO 16:45pm) sold-out before Christmas, within hours of going on public sale, and now the Ireland game has also seen the last of 74,000 available tickets snapped up.

The change to roof protocol which has been agreed with Six Nations will now become the ‘default’ position.  Being able to close the retractable roof will guarantee conditions, maintaining consistency for fans and players alike and also improving the fan experience in the iconic ground

WRU Group CEO, Abi Tierney says, “Selling out both of our home fixtures is an achievement reflective of the excitement building ahead of another thrilling Guinness Six Nations campaign at the world renowned Principality Stadium.

“Both  senior men’s home fixtures have been in high demand and this is a fantastic achievement and a sign  of the passion and belief that Welsh rugby fans have for this team.

“Principality Stadium is one of the most iconic sporting venues in the world and our retractable roof, one of our most distinctive features, enables us to create an amazing atmosphere with the the match day experience set to come alive during the2025 Six Nations.”

This newscomes alongside the announcement that our early bird ticket offer for Wales’ 2025 Women’s Six Nations fixtures has been extended until the 21st January. With tickets tracking well for both fixtures at Principality Stadium and Rodney Parade, and the capital stadium already expecting a record crowd for a women’s international in Wales we encourage fans to secure their tickets on the WRU ticketing website (WRU.WALES/TICKETS) now.

“With Wales’ Senior Women’s squad also preparing for their historic clash against England at the stadium, it’s an incredibly exciting season for rugby in Wales. We can’t wait to welcome our loyal fans to Principality Stadium for these unforgettable occasions.” Tierney adds.

Principality Stadium Manager, Mark Williams says, “There’s no better atmosphere than a packed-out Principality Stadium roaring Wales along.

“In the past we’ve always come to a mutual agreement with the visiting team on whether the roof remains open or shut but in this historic move we’re maximising one of our greatest assets and the roof will be closed for the next two years of international Welsh rugby fixtures.

“When the roof is shut, the noise is intimidating. Its fantastic for both the fans and players.  We’re in for two huge, sold-out fixtures in Cardiff across this iconic Championship.”
