Welsh international Natalia John captains the side for a third time and is partnered by fellow Welsh second row Gwen Crabb in the Thunder engine room.
Wales centre Hannah Bluck makes her first start of this season’s Celtic Challenge campaign and partners Savannah Picton-Powell in a powerful midfield.
Bluck is one of two changes to the Thunder starting line-up, with Poppy Hughes starting at hooker, that pushed league leaders Gwalia Lightning all the way in the second Welsh derby over the festive period at Parc y Scarlets.
Ashley Beck, Head coach of Brython Thunder, said: “For a new-look Brython side with some new faces we have produced improved performances in each Welsh derby against Gwalia. We know an away trip to Edinburgh will be a test.
“We need to focus on improving our performances and the rest will look after itself. Edinburgh are second in the table and will be full of confidence after their victory over Glasgow.”
