Wales led at the interval thanks to a try by Morgan on the stroke of half-time that overturned a 10-point deficit to give the home side a 13-10 advantage.
That grew to an 18-10 lead when Tom Rogers dived over in the right hand corner three minutes into the second half. The Irish eventually clawed their way back into the contest to win 27-18 in the end, but the world ranked No 2 side were pushed all the way as they completed the Triple Crown.
“We’ll be looking forward to the Scotland game. We’re just looking forward to building on what we’ve learned this week,” said Morgan.
“We’ll review the game and learn from it. Then we’ll get back on the training field and keep on improving, implementing that style of attack.
“It was good to have a clear plan in attack. It felt a bit different and the boys were excited.
“The message that Matt (Sherratt) had been driving throughout the week was about enjoyment. That’s something we felt we had throughout the week and going into the game – we tried to play in a way and enjoy playing it that way, taking opportunities when they came.
“We had a game plan going into it and we stuck to it, with everyone on the same page and working together. We just wanted to be brave and take opportunities, and I think we did that.”
