The Welsh side are still looking for a first win of the league campaign and face a Edinburgh side sat mid table in the Celtic Challenge.
Wales Test star Natalia John leads the side and is partnered by Robyn Davies in the Thunder second row.
Welsh international Meg Webb returns to the side and is one of seven changes with two positional changes to the starting line-up.
Webb partners Savannah Picton-Powell in the centre and fly half Hanna Marshall is back in a new-look midfield.
Marshall partners scrum half Seren Singleton at half-back.
Ellie Tromans moves to full back and is joined by Ffion Davies and the returning Eleanor Hing on the wings.
The Brython Thunder front five from the last game against Wolfhounds is selected, with flanker Lucy Isaac returning in a new backrow combination alongside Finley Jones and Katie Carr.
Ashley Beck, Brython Thunder Head coach, said: “It’s great to be back on Welsh soil after the run of games away from home and we are looking forward and excited to be playing at Parc y Scarlets.
“We know Edinburgh will be a challenge and they showed they are good side with the back-to-back games with Gwalia Lightning. This is a young and new-look Brython squad and we are learning about the demands of playing against the best players in Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
“This is another opportunity for the players to learn and produce the consistent level of performance that we need at this level.”
