Lynn, who will lead his club side Gloucester/Hartpury in their third successive PWR final on Sunday, has named a 37-player squad for the tournament.

Wales open their campaign away to Scotland on Saturday, March 22nd (KO: 4.45pm).

Wales are on course to break their crowd record for a stand-alone Test match with more 10,000 tickets already sold for the visit of England to the Principality Stadium on Saturday, March 29th (KO:4.45pm).

The Wales squad set a record for a stand-alone women’s rugby fixture in Wales with a 10,592 crowd for the 22-20 victory over Italy in the final game of last season’s tournament.

The demand for tickets from Welsh supporters is heading towards the 16,500 record for a women’s sporting fixture in Wales set by the Wales Women’s football side.

Centre Hannah Jones will captain the squad, with scrum half Keira Bevan and flanker Alex Callender as vice-captains in a new leadership group.

Jones is one of host of Gloucester/Hartpury players who face fellow Welsh international Georgia Evans’ Saracens in the final.

Lynn has picked a settled squad with a mix of proven internationals with and exciting Welsh talent that has emerged in this season’s Celtic Challenge.

Gwalia Lightning skipper Bryonie King is joined by the likes of prop Maisie Davies and lock Alaw Pyrs, while Brython captain Natalia John is named alongside prop Rosie Carr and Welsh centre Hannah Bluck.

Lynn, the Wales Head coach, said: “This is an exciting and significant moment for the players, coaches and staff, when all the Wales family come together for the forthcoming W6N campaign.

“We have a good mix of the 15 Welsh internationals who featured in the recent Prem semi-finals and exciting younger players who have stood out for Gwalia Lightning and Brython Thunder in the Celtic Challenge.

“We all meet up on Monday and it is a short turnaround, but I know we all appreciate what we need to do and the support of the Welsh public.

“We are all excited about this Six Nations which is part of an exciting year for Women’s rugby, and we are aware of the challenges ahead of us but it’s all about working hard for each other and inspiring the nation.”
