Welsh rugby fans are in for a treat this Autumn as the Welsh Rugby Union announces ticket incentives for WRU Member Clubs and its young fans, as well as debenture holders, premium and official members and season ticket holders.

Wales’ senior men’s side will take on Argentina and Japan before facing New Zealand followed by current world champions, South Africa, in an epic month of international rugby in the Welsh capital.

With tickets on sale to debenture holders and premium members from today, 15th April, fans will be able to secure tickets through their WRU Member Clubs from 20th May, and in a Union first, tickets through clubs and to priority audiences will be available at a £5 discount across all games and all categories.

Following the successful introduction of a 50% concession for U18s fans last year, this has also been extended to cover U18s and students with the 50% concession applicable on incentivised prices for WRU Member Clubs too.

Ticket to the general public go on sale in the summer, Tuesday 17th June.

“It’s incredibly important that international rugby in Wales remains accessible to a wide audience.” Says, WRU CEO Abi Tierney.

“We want to encourage fans to purchase tickets for international matches from their clubs.  Clubs sit at the heart of their communities so rewarding those fans who purchase from their clubs early with a discount just made sense.

“The student pricing trial we held during the last Autumn Nations Series was also really successful and we know there’s an appetite with younger audiences to attend international matches at the stadium. So, I’m thrilled that we’re able to launch student pricing this Autumn, in addition to the U18s offer already in place.

“We have four huge matches this Autumn and the chance for our fans to watch some incredible rugby, Argentina, New Zealand, South Africa; and we haven’t played Japan at home since 2016 so it will be a fantastic opportunity to face them again at Principality Stadium in such short succession following the summer matches.

“Cardiff comes alive when the international rugby is on and there’s no better place to experience a sporting event than Principality Stadium.  We look forward to welcoming fans from all over the world later this year for an action-packed Autumn Nations Series.”

The series opens against Argentina on Sunday 9th November. Los Pumas will be making their thirteenth appearance in Cardiff having last played here in November 2022 when Wales won 20-13.

Wales then take on Japan in the second round of the autumn series on Saturday 15th November, following on from their two-test series in Japan earlier in the year. Japan’s return to the capital will mark nine years since they last played in Cardiff in November 2016 where Wales took home a win in a very close match, 33-30.

The series culminates in two major clashes in Cardiff; on Saturday 22nd November, Wales take on the All Blacks their first time in Cardiff since 2022 and will mark the 38th meeting of the two sides before taking on the current world champions South Africa on Saturday 29th November.
