Head coach Sean Lynn has named a 39-strong playing squad for the Wales Vodafone WXV Series to be played at Cardiff Arms Park in September.
Back rowers Alex Callender and Kate Williams will co-captain the squad in the Vodafone sponsored two Tests against South Africa and USA in the Welsh capital.
Wales will then hit the road to complete the four game WXV campaign with two Test matches against Japan in Tokyo.
The Wales squad includes eight uncapped players, including Amy Williams, Kelsie Webster and Stella Orrin who played in the victory over the Barbarians in an uncapped game at Twickenham.
Props Crystal James and Elan Jones, hooker Shanelle Williams, scrum half Megan Davey and centre Hanna Tudor are the other uncapped players named in the squad.
There are 28 players named in the Wales WXV squad who have played in the Celtic Challenge for Brython Thunder and Gwalia Lightning.
Lynn, said: “This selection underlines how hard the players, coaches and staff have worked, and we are seeing competition for places really develop in the squad.
“We have really moved the dial during the first three weeks of pre-season with the fitness and the rugby sessions demanding more from the squad.
“The players have really pushed each other and to witness how that is driving standards in training is the reason why we have selected the squad size we have.
“Our focus is on us as we continue to build our identity and playing philosophy and we intend to hold a ‘Probables versus Possibles’ training game to help the coaches ahead of selection of the South Africa Test match.
“This WXV campaign is a formidable and exciting challenge, playing South Africa, USA and Japan, and those three nations are above of us in the world rankings.”
