“I was pleased to be involved in the autumn internationals because I didn’t start playing until October; I am happy with the way things have gone,” said Morgan.
“Hopefully, I can get selected for the Six Nations squad and I have been saying that I don’t think I will be playing my best rugby until the New Year after nearly ten months without playing.
“Form doesn’t come back like that. It’s going to take me a while, but I am happy with the progress. It’s probably a lot quicker than I thought. I need to stay injury-free, that’s the main concern for me.”
With the Dragons chasing a quarter-final place in Europe, captain Morgan wants to make sure the Welsh region beat the Romanians, who shocked Bayonne 32-27 in October.
Wales lock Ian Gough is in the side with British Lions flanker Colin Charvis named in the back row for the first of back-to-back clashes between the Welsh side and the Romanians.
“Bucuresti are physically a very strong side and will be competitive in the set-piece,” said Dragons coach Paul Turner. “However, we have been working extremely hard over the past few months on our power game and this is paying dividends.”
