Magners League Preview

The Dublin based side are involved in one of Friday night’s four ties, with Edinburgh facing the leaders at Donnybrook. The Scots were the last side to beat Leinster at home in the Magners League; way back in November 2005 [when it was the Celtic League] and the leaders have now built a seventeen match unbeaten home run in all competitions.

Should Leinster slip up again against Edinburgh as they did away to them in the Heineken Cup earlier this season then Ulster, in second place, will be hoping to capitalise when they face the Newport Gwent Dragons at Ravenhill. Ulster have an impressive home record; unbeaten in the league in their last twelve games at Ravenhill and a thirteenth victory coupled with an Edinburgh win in Dublin would put them back on top of the Magners League table.

Friday night also sees Munster travel to Border Reivers, whilst the fourth Friday fixture pits Glasgow Warriors against Llanelli Scarlets at Hughenden.

Cardiff Blues enjoy a buy weekend with no fixture to play leaving the Ospreys with the opportunity to leapfrog them in the table when they face Connacht at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday evening.
