The Wales fullback had feared he would miss the Millennium Stadium showdown with the Springboks after having a knee operation last month.
Morgan sustained cartilage damage but is expected to resume training next week and be fit for the Dragons’ Heineken Cup match against London Irish a week next Saturday. And Dragons Coach Paul Turner confirmed the 30-year-old will be available for the Prince William Cup date on November 24th.
Turner said: “Kevin should be in full training next week and be ready for the match against London Irish.”
Morgan’s recovery has not come in time for the Dragons who travel to France today (Thurs) to kick-off their European campaign against Perpignan tomorrow night (Fri).
Turner makes eight changes for the match at the Stade Aime Giral following last weekend’s EDF Energy Cup defeat to Newcastle Falcons.
Turner recalls Wales internationals Ceri Sweeney, Luke Charteris and former Perpignan flanker Richard Parks to his starting-line up. British Lions duo Michael Owen and Colin Charvis also start.
