Warren Gatland’s side slipped to a 37-27 away defeat against Ireland last Saturday and must win their remaining two fixtures with other results going their way to have any chance of winning the Championship.
“We’ve got to come up with a plan to find a way to get into the game when we’re starved of possession,” said McBryde.
“We proved that when we did win a line-out we scored a try and there were a couple of other positives. To be asked those questions at this stage means we’ve got to come up with answers or else every team will know the game plan.
“There are certain good things in our game we want to maintain and keep working on, we’ve just got to tighten up the areas where we are going to be targeted.”
The Wales forwards coach is excited at the prospect of returning to the Principality Stadium and has urged his side to play what they see in front of them.
McBryde believes there is a bigger picture than the Six Nations with the World Cup just 18 months away.
“Teams come to Cardiff and play with a lot more width and really give it a go,” he said.
“What we can’t be is too frightened or scared to go out there and play rugby. We’ve got to play what we see in front of us and create opportunities in the same way we have been doing.
“We can’t get too bogged down in where we’re going to end up in the 6N, there’s a bigger picture of the RWC we need to think about. I know it’s next year, but there aren’t too many opportunities to see young players on the big stage.”
