WRU Video: Rob Howley on the Wales squad in South Africa Wales go in search of their first win on South African soil in the first Test in Bloemfontein on Saturday, but the Wales attack coach believes the young guns in the squad will step up to the plate. “It has been a fast learning curve for them – adapting to the culture and the intense work ethic within the camp,” said former Wales captain
“However, the training regime they were put through over in Ireland probably got them over the line a bit easier as they saw that this is the standard the national team have set and they have been able to accept the responsibility put on them out here in South Africa.
“It has been a little bit harder and taken more time for them to take in just how we want to play the game and, although we try to create as much intensity in our sessions as possible, we will only really find out about these individuals under pressure on Saturday.”
