Wales recorded three victories in the campaign eventually finishing runners-up to Grand Slam winners Ireland.
With Warren Gatland targeting winning the World Cup in 2019, Faletau believes Wales are on the right track to do so.
“There is definitely more to come from us,” said Faletau.
“We are seeing phases of it and it has been great to watch but to move it on to another level is about doing it for 80 minutes rather than patches. Our current style suits a lot of the back-rowers in the squad.
“We are comfortable playing a tight game and a wide game. We can adapt pretty well to both.”
The British and Irish Lions No 8 missed the opening three rounds of the Championship after suffering a medial ligament tear in his left knee. But Faletau believes Wales did well in his absence and is looking forward to getting a run of games under his belt in the Aviva Premiership.
“The first couple of weeks was tough watching the boys,” he said.
“They started well with the win against Scotland and there was disappointment with their losses at England and Ireland but I guess second is kind of a good way to finish.
“If anyone was fresh in the squad, it was me. I am back in with Bath next week and hopefully we can get the campaign going there.”
Wales face South Africa in Washington D.C this summer before embarking on a two-test tour of Argentina.
With the World Cup on the horizon Gatland has announced he will rest many of his senior players.
“For me it is not about putting my feet up,” he said.
“It is a chance to get a full pre-season which is not always the case. From that point of view, it will be great to do a full pre-season and go into next season flying.”
