The vastly experienced No8 will lead the Welsh women’s team out for the 50th time in her career which has already seen her reach 69 caps.
The inspirational back row is putting personal glory behind her as she aims to guide Wales to victory over Scotland at Meggatland.
“To be honest, I haven’t really thought about it,” she said referring to reaching the magical mark. “My main priority is to start the Six Nations successfully and try and qualify for the World Cup with an automatic place.”
Berry, who made her Welsh debut in 1998, is expecting a tough time against the Scots.
“Scotland away is an extremely tough game for us. We’ve seen the progression they’ve made recently. Some players have come back into the fold and they’ve also got some new blood.
“It’s not just about the Six Nations either. There is qualification for next year’s World Cup up for grabs as well, so the first game is key for us. If we get off to a winning start it will make our objective of automatic qualification so much easier.”
