Divisional Level 3 Coaching Course

The WRU continues the development of its coaching courses with a pilot Divisional Level 3 course covering the Ospreys and Scarlets regions.

The course, commencing in November, will be run at Parc y Scarlets over a period of six months. This includes attendance at Parc y Scarlets on Sunday 15th November 2009, Sunday 6th December 2009, Sunday 11th and 18th April 2010 and Sunday May 9th 2010. It also includes home study work and two practical coaching assessments. Completion of all aspects is compulsory. (The course costs £300).

Admission to the course will be by invitation only. Applications for admission should be sent to either Jeff Roach (Scarlets – jeff@scarlets.co.uk) or Dan Owens(Ospreys – daniel.owens@ospreysrugby.com)

Applicants will be expected to hold the UKCC Level 2 coaching award and be able to clearly demonstrate the ability to coach all aspects of team play at a high level.

Applicants may be required to attend an interview, provide video evidence of their coaching ability, or be assessed conducting a session at their club. Unsuccessful applicants will be given an action plan to aid their development as coaches.

Applications for an invitation to join the course should be received by 11th September.
